There couldn't have been a better time for a break! Skyler and I went home to Poway this past week to celebrate Thanksgiving. It was so much fun. We caught up on sleep, did a lot of babysitting & playing with Cayden, Carys and Calay, Skyler spent an afternoon golfing, ate way too much food, and got to catch up with some old friends. It was great to be able to spend time with family and be away from stressful school for a couple days. Skyler said he even enjoyed the drive because he got some "Sky-time." He's so cute. These are some things we're grateful for:
CAYDEN! And Carys, Calay, Jeraldine, Johanita, and Jamie of course! We discussed it and we have decided that our nieces and nephew are by far the coolest kids around. I can't imagine them being any cooler or cuter. We love them so much!
Skyler works at CMS again! We are happy to have returned to the CMS family. Intramurals is dying down at the end of the semester and they needed some help up in the Fletcher building so Skyler happily obliged. The best part is we get to go to their Christmas party again, woohoo!
Our first apartment. It actually looks a lot different now (and not quite as messy), but we love our cozy one-bedroom home. It's been fun to start out our life together here! I'm sure we'll look back with fondness when we remember doing lots of dishes by hand, cold showers, our toilet that has troubles, and using our trunk as storage since our house is so small.
Ultimate frisbee! Skyler is obsessed. It's been fun as always to see him play with his team this year. I was also able to play intramural soccer and wow it's been a long time, but it was really fun to play!
Our blissful Brasil trip. It was perfect. One of these days we'll put up some more pictures of that trip. It was so great to become acquainted with Skyler's other home and appreciate Brasi-culture! Beleza!!
A 98-cent pineapple!!! It was such a glorious day when we saw my favorite fruit on sale for cheap! Obviously we took a picture. It tasted amazing. Ah, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Football season. It's sad how much college football we watch in the Fall (mostly Skyler). It has been an emotional season, but we've loved every minute of it. We love our Cougars. Our turn will come to be BCS-busters!!
Lack of Cold weather. This is a picture of me on the only really cold day we've had so far in Provo! What a blesssing. It's been sunny and nice. Maybe I'll even appreciate the snow when it comes - on second thought, probably not. In other news, I chopped off my hair. Here's a picture. I'm still not quite sure how I feel about it, but it's nice to have less hair to manage!
Happy belated Thanksgiving & Merry Christmas!
